4 to 2 months before your visa expires, you must apply for a residence permit on the ANEF website > I would like to apply or renew my residence permit. You do not need to return to Armenia to apply for a new visa, everything is done online.
Example: If your visa expires on August 15, you must apply between April 15 and June 15.
You also do not need to wait for your new residence permit to be issued to leave and re-enter the Schengen Area. Your old visa/residence permit + your Attestation de Décision Favorable (ADF) or your Attestation de Prolongation d'Instruction (ADP) are sufficient to cross the border.
