Working with a student visa

Mise à jour le
Étudiants

With your student visa, you can work up to 964 hours per year. Beyond that, your employer will need to apply for a temporary work permit (APT) on the ANEF website.

When you work in France, whether you are a student or not, a legal minimum wage is guaranteed. It's commonly called the SMIC (salaire minimum interprofessionnel de croissance). It is €11.65/hour (gross), but you will receive €9.22/hour (net) after social security contributions. If you work 10 hours per week at the minimum wage, you will earn around €92 net.
